I’ve always had a passion for helping people. I remember growing up I felt drawn to helping others in various situations. Whether it was helping someone with homework, with a project, or just listening to a friend. That pull to help others developed into a career. I graduated with my Bachelors degree from the University of Tulsa in 1995 and continued on to Oklahoma State University graduating with my Masters in Counseling in 1997. After graduate school I worked at Family and Children’s Services for over 15 years. While there I worked primarily in a program that helped children with various trauma issues. From there I started my Private Practice office while still working with community mental health agencies. Over the years I have worked with a variety of issues including various forms of abuse (sexual, physical, and emotional), behavioral issues with children and adolescents, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, crisis management, parenting issues, family dynamics, and marital counseling. Each year I complete training that will enhance the services that I offer to my clients and their families. While I do treat the individual, families are the focus of my practice. I believe in helping the family as a whole and working with each individual to improve their lives.
